At Canadore many Nations are represented, including Ojibway, OjiCree, Cree, Algonquin, Metis, Mohawk, and Inuit. We welcome approximately 1,000 Indigenous students annually from across the country.

Actua announced the First Peoples’ Centre at Canadore College as its newest network member. Based in North Bay, Ontario, the First Peoples’ Centre is Actua’s 37thnational network member, and 14thlocated in Ontario.

Cultural Support Programs
Designed to provide guidance while reinforcing the importance of language, values, customs, pride and identity. Student-oriented initiatives create a positive learning environment by enhancing leadership and team-building skills.
Elder on Campus
The Elder on Campus provides cultural support and resources to all students attending Canadore and hosts a number of workshops, sharing circles and other opportunities for students to participate in social events throughout the school year.
